Dark Cloud + Prof. Layton = win

Rogue Galaxy is, imo, their weakest game.  Nifty combat, but the story was crap.  Great visuals, though.

Level 5 is wayyyy better Dark Cloud and Rogue galaxy are excellent RPG's cant wait for White Knight

hmm...this is almost a who's getting better RPGs, PS3 with White Knight Chronicles (Level 5) or Xbox 360 with Infinite Undiscovery and Star Ocean 4 (Tri-Ace). If it is, this thread is kinda sad, claiming one game or developer is bad compared to another exclusive game or developer. If it's really just a comparison of devs, then I apologize and in that case I'll say Level 5.

Tri-Ace, yea I remember them, yes, I believe it was Star Ocean one with Ashton who had the move Tri-Ace, the move was strong but kind of unpracticle.. who's level 5? Does it taste good?

Dark Cloud, never played it. Jeanne D'Arc, don't have a PSP. Dragon Quest, never go into the series. Professor Layton, meh.

Sure, I can understand why people who have played every single game from Level 5 can claim it is a better developer (these look definitely like fine games), but let's not forget that Star Ocean is also a very old series that deserves to be among the best JRPGs ever created. The first game was damn fine, and 'Till the End of Time as well!

the first 2 were good.

3 had a great battle system but that about it.

The story in 3 was amazing until that part where you had to stay in a sucky medieval planet with a shitty war. Then it re-gets interesting! =p

I really liked that idea of ''you can't interfere with other civilizations if they are not as advanced technologically'' thingy or something like that. It was creative, and they should have built on that idea more.
