The way some people have explained it to me is your made happy.  Basically your high all the time according to some people.  You just no longer care about other people because of the complete bond you feel with god.

Kinda ironic.

Amusingly there was a scripture or two that suggested everyone got into heaven.  Obvsiouly didn't make the cut when the Romans were reshaping the religion to control peoples actions.

If it is proven beyond any doubt (meaning heavy mathematics, phsyics, etc.) then yeah sure. I'd hate him completely for the fact that he is sending people to hell at all and all that, but I would change my belief and start believing that God does exist.

Whether I'd side with him or not is another question. Rubang and Vagabond perfectly express my feeling god if he existed.Honestly the god of the fundies sounds much worse than Hitler. At least with Hitler when you went against him you just got shot or gassed in 5 minutes and it was all over. With this guy you spend eternity burning up. God = Hitlerx 10^999?

In case he does exist: You all are invited to my party at my pit of fire. Elvis is coming too!

With David Blaine around, God would have to do something pretty radical to prove himself.
OT:The most i would acknowledge is God's existence, not his greatness. Plus I see an overwhelming no of people assuming it would be a christian God. It could turn out that the God of some other religion is the one true creator. Would they be willing to serve him too?

You could believe you were halicinating, he was an alien, he was a hologram, he was some sort of hoax, he was the devil (since if god existed, the devil could),  He was a computer program (as are you.)


And that's coming from someone who does believe in god.

I was implying if it WAS God beyond a doubt, of course if he appeared before me I'd try every possible to way to prove he isn't God.

Exactly my point! Hitler just killed your body, your mortal shell, whatever else you call it. God fucks you over forever and there's no tanks to come save your ass from hell in the last minute a la La Vita e Bella. Even if god did exist, I don't see why people would want him to exist.

^ Build me a wall you aren't gonna jump over. Ridiculous argument, but one which holds a lot of water over the question of omnipotency, which is a ridiculous concept itself.

I don't see why people associate religion and god with ethics and morality. The two can exist without the other. I can give you very good arguments why we shouldn't clone humans and I won't even come within 10 feet of any religious argument. Religion and god created needless morals and ethics which just end up hurting humans instead of helping them out, the moment someone brings religion into an argument all their opinions and arguments should automatically be void.
