Pretty much what I was going to say. Don't sleep on Beetle Advanture Racing.
Since every game will be ridiculously cheap, I recommend Ogre Battle 64, Buck Bumble, Conker's, Rocket: Robot on Wheels, Space Station Silicon Valley, Kirby 64, Paper Mario...
Those titles along with the other classics it seems like everyone goes on and on about, should be everything you need.
