I only preorder if you get free stuff like with Pokemon D/P and SMG.

Preordering is stupid when you have a 24hour Wal-Mart 5mins away from your house that nobody ever thinks of going to.

yeah I with most of the others... if you get something cool I'll do it. Workingdesigns use to have the coolest f'n preorders like the Ghaleon puching puppet.

I only preorder if there is some kind of preorder bonus and they can be quite nice if you know where to look. For example Circuity City has been giving 10$ gift cards for preordering games and those can quickly add up. Gamestop does the occasional free merchandise or in game item codes or something like that. If I know 100% that i am going to get the game on day 1 and if i preorder i get something for free why not do it?

As a former Gamestop employee I boycott that company and I see no reason to pre order at all anymore.

You can always find a copy of anything anywhere.

Yea, I realized there is no point in pre-ordering when I noticed how no games that I want are ever out of stock. It's kind of hassle, makes you feel like you have to play it right away as oppose to picking it up when you want.

Other than that, yeah I can just go pick it up at walmart no problem :P

I pre-order because it serves as a great reminder that the game is out... and ready for you to pick up.

most of the time it is not necessary, but I am always grateful I pre-ordered when the product is sold out.
