Forums - General - What is you favorite book?

PoA is by far the best Harry Potter book. DaVinci code was awful, though.

One of my favourite books is Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Niel Gaiman, fantastic read if you get your hands on it. I also recommend the Assassin's books by Robin Hobb

The ones I read for school, if I hate a book that I don't have to read I don't keep reading. I hated most:

-The Word for World is Forest, by Ursula K. Le Guin (every time I see it in a bookstore I want to burn it)

-The Martian Chronicles, by Ray Bradbury (even though I love science-fiction, I hate this book deeply)

-Boquitas Pintadas, by Manuel Puig

-El Entenado, by Juan José Saer

Worth a read. ^_^

The Lost World by Michael Crichton is incredible...oh yes!

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

All time:
Guards Guards by Pratchett or Brightonomicon by Rankin

Runners up places go to the Death Trilogy by Pratchett or Witches of Chiswick by Rankin

Worthy mentions:
Angel & Demons + Davinci Code, LOTR, Hobbit, Rats/Lair/Domain, The Stand, Fox in Socks + countless others I don't have time to mention.

All time would have to be Catch-22. I adore that book.

Most hated? Hannibal. I actually tore the book to pieces after I finished it. Terible ending. Absolutely horrid. The movie was better. That's how bad it was.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

I'd have to say the Dark Tower series. Somehow it sucks me back into re-reading what's essentially one big 5,000 page novel about once a year.

The dedication you show to any particular console or company is inversely proportional to the number of times you have gotten laid. If you get laid enough, even if you prefer a certain brand, you just don't give enough of a shit to argue about it on the internet.
