The Others data is very tentative and will no doubt be adjusted frequently. It's not entirely clear if the 194,000 is sold to consumers or retailers since it doesn't source GfK (probably sold to retailers then) and the 1.2 million is almost certainly sold to retailers. The new bundle will certainly help in Europe too since Resistance and Motorstorm have sold very well there individually so they're obviously the most wanted (old) games right now.

So selling an additional 200K+ in ~5 additional weeks doesn't sound impossible.

I could ,but not probably a source such as a general information newspapers with no clue to whats happening in videogaming today .As for the press conferences ,saying that the best one was the one of Sony isnt to be biased .MS didnt show anything not showed before ,their online strategy remained the same ,most of its games are in develoopment since two years and shown show after show.They only news it provided were the copy of the Buzz controller and Viva Piñata Animals .No price drop ,no MGS ,no good sales info......even it was undermining for the 360 as it showed that sooner or later most 360 games would be on PC as well .Nintendo conference was sad to say the least ....Wii Fit ,they showed Mario Kart looking exactly the same as ever ,a lot of pats in the back on how they are selling to grannies and soccer moms and thats it .Sony conference showed a lot of product ,the new PSP ,the price cut ,the Home system that looked great ,some new games (Infamous ,Eco Chrome ,more ) ,announced timed exclusives for Unreal III and Haze and confirmed definitely the exclusivity of MGS IV ,and showed at least 10 must have for their system ;Unreal III ,Haze ,Killzone 2 ,Heavenly Sword ,Uncharted ,Ratchet and Clank ,Call of Duty 4 ,Metal Gear Solid 4 ,Resident Evil 5 ,Lair ....plus a lot more of course .They had some sense of humour as well and sounded a lot less arrogant than previous years .It was clearly the best conference ,saying so isnt any proof of being biased .

Well when Sony announced it had 1050 000 sold in Europe they clearly stated they had shipped some 1.57 million .So this 1.2 million looks like sold to customers .

Obviously Sony is winning the Console War, this website is just hiding the truth.

For some reason numbers form Europe have generally been sold not shipped, not sure why. Pal territories have always been with in less then 5% of American sales, 1.2 million is a very believable number for "sold" PS3s.

Why can't you all accept that each Company will try and show they're sales in the best light and that this site does not use those numbers for its sales data.

Ioi will adjust his numbers as HE see's fit. I don't care if you guys post stories like this, as news is interesting no matter what the content, but its a bit rude to come onto someones site and make demands that he change his numbers based off of something one specific company has said.
