It isn't very clear whether this are shipments or sales, whereas previous portuguese data (those 20k) was pretty clear about that - it was quoted as being from sales tracker GFK. It's also not clear to what specific timeframe does this data refers to.
Now, comparing the new 22k for Portugal with the previous 20k, it may very well be sell through, though no specific tracker seems to be mentioned, not for Iberia nor for Europe. Please take into consideration that, that I know of at least, no sales traking company would provide unified reliable data for the 100+ territories SCEE is responsible for. This, combined with the unknown timeframe, means it's hard to know by how much you'd need to correct the others data.
If you find other more detailed sources for the data, please do post them, Diomedes - that will help. When this kind of data comes out, unless it's inside info (which alone makes it look suspicious), usually more than one news outlet will have access to it (and some will mention the competition too).
