and funny thing is that Elites are no better, all 360 models break, it is not the hardware it is the design in which all the pieces are clumped in,...

OK so I applied the thermal paste and baked it and it should be OK by around 9:30 pm EST. I just have to wait for the cool off. Anyway, all the X360 models have a chance at failure b/c of the crackhead who decided to put x-clamps on a mobo base.

I also don't want a PS3 b/c I do not really need Blu-ray.

Get it repaired and sell it as a refurb maybe? Thats what I did before the price drop and paid the $100 difference for the Elite after MS live cash back search.

Granted with the price drop it will cost you more of a difference :(
