Ignoring the brouhaha about Final Fantasy in this thread...

Monster Hunter 3 sounds peculiarly awesome.

I wasn't looking forward to NMH like I'm looking forward to this, the level of anticipation I have for this title is similar to Brawl and a bit above Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles... If they announced PSO:Ep1-5+ for the Wii then I'd probably be confused on the sheer overwhelming force of awesome.

Capcom will give SE a run for it's money in Japan it seems. Too bad SE ignored the Wii, now they have no place in Wii's library. RPG's are raining from everywhere, and most of them look much more promising than any SE title.

This will seal Nintendomination in Japan and it will be good to see how Wii hating companies will react (bankrupcy perhaps?). 2009 is going to be the year of the Wii.

 Sony's questionable decisions in gaming this generation may just be yet the latest chapter in Square's long and tragic history.

2008 is also the year of Wii and Nintendomination, however for the consumer this has been a more so great year for gaming. ^_^

For the fanatics of this site, Nintendomination has been in full swing year after year since 2007.

Capcom putting a lot of effort into a Wii exclusive? Looks like they're doing something right after all. =P

It was bound to happen. After all these "tests", it's understandable. MH3 has always been there, the community just needed to be reminded that "hey, they're putting their biggest game on this system."

It's going to be the same with S-E, except their support isn't going to be as crucial (unless it's Kingdom Hearts).

Eh? Trestres has been going crazy since the Ubisoft thing, he may have even developed a twitch from such harsh times, and E3 may have pushed him one step closer to the edge... I don't think he's fallen over yet. ^_^

Monster Hunter 3 has been there yes, just like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles has been there, if it wasn't for the Kombo preview no one would have known if MH3 was canned or not. I'm sure most have seen that Capcom is definetly not as secretive as Square about their titles.

But those "tests" I believe a Capcom rep did use that word "test" that ticked me off a little, it brought to focus a question about the HD Twins, was DMC4 a test or RE5? How about the 20+ million they pumped into Lost Planet, were they all tests?

If they intend to bring MH3 to the US they have to do something big to that title, either advertize it to hell and make sure people know it's not Monster Rancher in any way or shape or they change the name and advertise the heck out of the game but with more emphasis on selling points.

As I said in anecdote, the only reason why I nor any of my Diablo 2 or PSO friend didn't by Monster Hunter is because we had the impression that it was a Monster Rancher title.
