Except! They seem to have an orgasm every time a third party sells a crapload of games on their platform. It seems every time they can mention it, they'll say that third parties are performing wonderfully and since they mention it so often it must be one of the key things which drives them.

$2,750,000,000! An aproximate quantity of money going to third party coders/programmers @ $25 per game.

27,500! The number of developers who could be supported by this quantity of money if it was all spent in one year @$100,000 per chair, per year.

But 110 millions seems awfully low for a 3 years old console. PC does better than in less than 1 year.

why dont you give us figures comparing how much devs made off sony compared to microsoft.

and judge which company 3rd party devs should support based on that information.

Took the million seller list, sorted by publisher then I took the Microsoft total and removed it from the absolute total and took it down a further 6 million for good measure. No it doesn't include XBLA games because I can never see the complete list as the site eats the side of the list which gives the totals.

Im pretty sure a particularly large torrent site could do those numbers for PC game downloads in a year as well.
