Honestly, It should be fairly easy to completely copy Super Mario World if Media Molecule did it's job right.

As cute as Sackboy is it's really going to bother me that you HAVE to make the sackboy the main character. Seems like that screws with a lot of the other genres and stuff you could do with a more open game. All a matter of seeing though.

Actually, I wouldn't be sad that a game is better than Super Mario World. That game has been out for so long. It's great to see that a game in the same genre could be better.

Also, the biggest problem about SMW is that once you've played all levels, it's finished. With LBP, it's not yet finished. The only thing I fear is that it's really hard to find the good user-created levels. With the SMW mods, most levels are insanely difficult or boring.

Theres nothing to rethink here. There are people that have the game now that are admitted fans of SMW that are saying that it is as good if not better. Whats the issue with this? It is possible for an 18 year old game to finally have a game beat it, and if this is true then good for Media Molecule and Sony who bought them even with out a previous history of being able to deliver on this scale.

Anyone that comes in here and has an issue with a reviewer or someone playing this game that says its as good if not better then SMW is just a blind fanboy. You should just be psyched that a game is coming out as good as SMW that you can play now. I think the platformer world is big enough for two masterpeices.

I cant wait for this game to come out, the more I learn about it the more I have to rethink its possible GOTY award. Especially with the massive amount of love its getting from critics.

OP is an extreme fanboy. Like, one of the worst I've seen. There is definatly a great level of sheer arogence in the first post.

I've seen plenty a "critic impression thread" and none have the moronic carnival title or an image saying "SO GOOD". That is becuase other threads have some sort of dignity.

Not that I dislike the game. I have no qualms with the game, but the fan base that grew out over night is topping the "bad fanbase" list.
