Offer the Everything PS3.  Include in the box:

1.  One of their fall AAA games

2.  HDMI cable (they are dirt cheap)

3.  A Bluetooth headset

and if I could dream :)...

4.  Software backwards compatability with the PS2...I feel like they are working on this but who really knows!

Not just ANY bluetooth headset..the official kick-you-in-the-mouth-badass(looking) Playstation 3 Bluetooth Headset..

But yeah maybe, they really should start shipping consoles with headsets. A lot of people see this as a bad thing, but I was thinking about it - really, it's a good thing. The older more mature people who buy a PS3 are normally more serious about gaming and are also less childish. In playing the PS3 online multiplayer, while I encounter a few childish aggrivating people, I seem to encounter them a lot less on the PS3 than the 360. A lot less. A lot of the 'people who are too young and shouldn't be allowed to voice chat in online games' have parents who already shelled out $500 for their console, a game, and an extra controller. They don't want to dish out another $70 for a headset. Unfortunately, a lot of the annoying kids have rich parents too..

Sounds good though, BC should be standard IMO, especially if they can use software emulation to simulate the GPU.

I wish the PS3 had a headset like the 360 actually, however its cool to be able to use the same blutooth for your phone and for the ps3

If the 360 price cuts give it a world wide price cuts then there are pretty much only 1 way to combat this.


Make the PS3 cheaper to buy.

in our current economic situation a signifant % of the consumer would appreciate a lower price point much more than they would Value for money , it's one of the very reasons why the XBOX Arcade exists.

$400 80GB - add LBP
$500 160GB - add Resistance 2, Bluetooth headset, Dark Knight Blu-Ray

Wow...that actually doesn't sound half bad, especially the 160 gb cuz apparently, the more gigs, the more ppl want to buy. Especially with Resistance 2 and Dark Knight on blu ray.

Nothing. If I cut prices, then it would be a sign of weakness, and the competitor would know that I don't think my product is worth the asking price.

People should want to work 2 jobs just to play my system
