Forums - General - I want to get married in Europe.

So my GF and I have talked about if we get married, doing it in Europe. Neither of us have ever been. Of the people who live in Europe, where would you recommend?

We have the traditional things in our heads (Rome, Venice, Castle on Scotland, overlooking a Cliff in Ireland, etc), but being we are Americans with no real experience in Europe, I thought I would ask. :)

Oh, and we want to make sure it's a place where after we get Married, there is a lot of stuff to do. We will probably go for a few weeks and use it as our honeymoon as well.

The Santa Claus office (~10km from Rovaniemi) at artic circle in Finland?

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

So all I get is one smart ass response? :p

I'm not sure if you could do it but Herculaneum would be fantastically romantic in my opinion. One of the most well preserved Roman towns in the world.

Then again that's possibly just because I love ancient Rome.

Get married in Budapest. It is the most beautiful city I have ever visited. I am not sure if you can get married in Matthias Church, but it would be a spectacular place to get married in

Paris or Rome's your best bet

I looked it up. It's very much a resort town. I would like somewhere that's just a town :). Very cool though.

London = Best Resturants/Hotels/Loads of Tourist Attractions/Some of the best public transport in Europe

Plus, us English speak English!

If you only speak English, go to England or Australia or you'll be stuck with only the English-speaking tourist areas anywhere you go.

Picking up a little Spanish or French or Italian isn't too hard.

I'd say get married in Prague, honeymoon in Venice, but I haven't been to Europe yet.
