McCain.

Obama's energy plan would greatly increase the Global Food Crisis due to his wreckless promises to increase Biofuels which the UN call "A crime path."

That... and McCains promise to stop ethanol subsidaries will help a lot of people globally.

The over 100 million people who can't afford food... is a really important deal to me.

That outweighs the chance that McCain may put another Pro-Lifer on the Supreme Court.  I think McCain is smart enough to know that making abortions Illegal won't stop many if any abortions and will just make them more dangerous.

Wow. I am suprised there are so many people voting for McCain here. The general consesus is no body hates McCain, but most don't love him. That would be because he is a moderate which means he is not polarizing (like Bush).

Obama on the other hand is the most Liberal senator in the Senate, therefor conservatives are more appaulled by him. Conservatives would not like Hilary, but they could swallow it... There is no way conservatives could swallow Obama. Not with his radical views on the Economy and Abortion and Education and Healthcare and the such.

I would believe that if there was actually evidence to support that claim. Not that he's a radical, but that he scares away conservative voters. He's doing very well in some red states.

Anyways, the world economy is in shambles. Obama's popularity worldwide should at least assist in the U.S. working with countries worldwide, whether with trading or providing goods or aid. I'm not worried about Obama's energy policies since he'll likely change his mind when everyone realizes that ethanol is a terrible idea (if they haven't already).

But if McCain pops his clogs (which I personally don't consider likely but it is possible that he could die considering he is 71) then you end up with Palin as president and she definately would try and make abortion illegal.

Either Walter Noel (Liberal Party) or Jack Harris (NDP). Leaning towards Jack Harris who has a clean and somewhat respectable record here, while Noel has a much more sketchy record.

@Bigjon - I'm not overly familiar with Obama's plans, but is his healthcare plan really that radical? Also, four years ago, weren't people clamoring that Kerry was the most liberal senator? I find it kind of funny how to be labeled 'liberal' in the US is often treated as a bad thing by some. Completely different here in Canada.

Even if she would, i'd hope the democrats would stop it.  They coulda stopped Alito.

Either way, Abortion being illegal for... really a couple years i'd say... (don't see it sticking) is better then the global food Crisis getting worse.

No.  His Healthcare plan is basically.... if you have Kids. You HAVE to have health insurance.

If you don't, and you take your kid to the hospital you get fined.

There is some debate between whether this will increase child care, as more people will be forced to get it... or decrease child healthcare as people who can't afford it will be less likely to take their children to the hospital.

I don't see it happening because the way he is saying it, it would basically price a lot of current healthcare providers out of the market... crashing them and basically costing a bunch of people jobs.

I mean he's saying he wants to make the Congress plan eligable to everybody... which is as i recall a really good healthcare plan for cheap.

Then he wants to reimburse private plans too... it's kinda a weird disjointed plan I don't get.

If by some miracle McCain or Palin appoint a judge who votes to overturn Roe V Wade, that would not make abortion automatically illegal. It would allow the states to decide the legality of abortion. In some states it would become illegal, but in other states (NY and WA) it would be available on demand. I am voting for Barr.
