Forums - Gaming - What resolution is real life?

maybe add up the amount of molecules inside a pixel that translates the resolution and do the same for an eyeball then compare.

The human eye is a mechanism just like a TV but not all eyes are the same infact no eyes are the same, meaning we could only use a theoretical equation to find the answer you are looking for.

There is no resolution ROFL

Comparable to real life?

Depends..

sometimes HD looks better than what it really is.

I will ask nicely.... can I put that in my sig?

@OP. When sober, I have no idea. When drunk, perhaps 12ppp (extra 'p's are extra progressing scan, so everything is a blur)

NO you cannot

Ok since you don't have his permission... if you don't use it I will.

Hmm you know the interesting thing is compared too some animals the “resolution” we get too see is not that good. I don’t know if that makes since :P

So there is nothing that can show how things really are… but from a human perspective is what you want en answer too I guess… I don’t know…

Yes, that is what I meant. For example many birds can see in far greater detail or "resolution" than humans can. So I'm interested if there has been any screen created with a resolution so high that it actually surpasses real life as we see it to where only other species may notice the extra or microscopic detail on the image.

You're confusing resolution with the ability to focus your eyes. Birds don't see more than we do, they can just focus better.

yes you are right...

Take a sphere in Maya or any other 3D program. And increase the poly count until it’s smooth so that you can’t make it smoother. That is how reality is. So for human creation it all depends on the creator but for what’s in nature is a different thing.

So the bird can’t see a thing smoother then it is neither can any machine but they can see more details on surfaces and such. An orange is not rounder for the bird then it is for us.

It’s a confusing question and I have never thought about it…

???

I say we settle for agreeing real life resolution is very, very high, with all the sliders way over to the right and complex shadows...

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Real life has no resolution. Res is determined by the number of pixels across and down on a display screen. Real life has no pixels, nor is real life viewed by a display screen... :P

Real life pixels are what I call “atoms” ;) lol

Yeah I've been telling my wife that XBOX360 > Real Life.

Now if only they could do something about all the jaggies...and maybe make things a bit more brown ;)

 Its a joke

I think I read it'd be equivalent to a 60 megapixel camera.

They also need to fix the sudden frame rate drops in the morning. Hopefully these things are fixed in the sequel ;)
