42% Japanese attach rate.
Outselling FF and DQ.
Hmmm... I don't know.... let me think.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

...But...
It is the only exclusive big budget RPG on PS3.
Still. 500k

I wish you did care about everything else I posted, as you would see that I wrote a post discussing sales in the Sales Discussion subforum of a sales-based site that was replying to other sales-oriented posts. My comparison between Chrono Trigger and the Tales franchise was only comparing their sales, and in that regard Chrono Trigger clearly dwarfs Tales games. I have nothing personal against the Tales franchise, and will never attack it or any other franchise I have little experience with. If I do attack a game or franchise, I assure you that it will not be baseless hatred.
@oliist
Interestingly enough, I have seen many of the games in the list I made considered superior to all the games in the established RPG franchises at least once. Notably Xenogears, Mother 2, and Mario RPG.
^ Maybe you got me wrong(or i maybe i get you wrong?).
But i am the last one that don't want other RPGs(besides FF and DQ)to sell good. :)

Oh I understand. Chrono Trigger and the Pokemon franchise are both very important to me because they both showed that daring to be different even in a genre as unchanging as the RPG genre could lead to huge success if done right. I wish more companies had the guts to do it, and more often. I still wish Pokemon had shown RPG developers that change when applied correctly can do great things for the genre and for their own games' sales, but it seems most of them treat the franchise like some sort of magical one-time exception or don't consider the games RPGs at all.
I kind of went off on a rant there, but basically I wish there were more attempts at fresh, creative RPG experiences. Right now the few there are just don't break away from traditional RPG values enough to become successful.
I want to experience the joy I felt when I first played Pokemon or Chrono Trigger again. :(
its a level 5 game and JRPG.
it will sell tons and it will have legs.
It will sell well, because PS3 owners want more Rpg's but i think 1 milion LTD in Japan is a bit optimistic, especially with such small install base that the PS3 has at the moment. I think anything above 320k would be a huge success.

1 million in Japan alone is a but optimistic. I think 500K wouldn't be very hard to reach though since the game is very hyped. 1 million WW isn't impossible since Sony will probably want to hype the hell out the game even in the West since the game is a big exclusive as well as a JRPG that many PS3 owners are waiting for.
first day sales will be same as IU, maybe more but still
