Amazing how one day its near dead and the next people say it will win the generation...lol. I think it was a smart business move. They are finally priced at the mass market price $200.00

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Success in Japan, Excellent price cuts now also for Europe this Friday makes Nintendo Wii more expensive in the UK than the 60gb Premium, the whole new dashboard etc on the next huge update, BIG AAA titles from next month etc...

Reasonable on 17 September 2008

Err - last week it sold around 850 due to out of stocks. This weeks admittedly nice looking 28,000 must include pent up demand. Add the two together and you see that average weekly sales for last week/this week is more like 15,000 units - much better, but don't expect that to change that much in Japan particularly as I doubt its going to stay at a higher level for that long.

Still, never thought I'd see 360 above Wii even for a week (even if everyone is ignoring last weeks out-of-stock when they talk about it)

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Most of the predictions there are pretty good and reasonable, though some of them are way off if we are to believe vgchartz numbers.

What good is any of that really? The Arcade is already has been cheaper for the last 6 months and Wii outsells it 3 to 1. In the UK the 360 Elite is £50 cheaper then the PS3 and all versions of the 36o sell the same amount. Price cuts only lets people who current can't afford what they want buy it sooner. Wii rules most of mainland Europe followed by the PS3 and the 360 had a head start and no amount of 'avatars' or Singstar ripoffs can change that.

I also wonder why they are making all these price cuts, yes they might have been profitable on the 360 so they reduce the price and make nothing again. The Wii is still and always has been making money. These are good steps to do...well, I'm not sure what M$ want anymore to be honest. To win I guess.
