In his quote he meant the 360 will never be overtaken by the PS3 in the US. I'd agree with him.
As for holding onto the lead WW until the next Xbox, I'm not so sure. The PS3 has been selling extremely well in Others, the 360 holding onto its lead past 2010 isn't going to be easy.

Wtf is this? I thought it would be very hard to sell more X360 than PS3 in Japan. And of course nearly impossible sell more X360 than WII. Well played MS, dunno how you really did it.
Regardless of the long term or short term effect of this, if it is indeed true...the fact is that 360 will have done something deemed impossible, just a few seconds before this news was posted. I'd been one of people saying M$ should hang it up for Japan, so it's stunning to see it beat Wii....btw, has PS3 ever finished in the top slot, other than MSG4 release week? Wii's dominance has been so strong if any of the other 2 would ever enjoy more than a week or 2 at the top.

Actually ps3 outsold Wii for 2 weeks when it had a price cut.

Wow, this is a fantastic week for 360 in Japan but let's not get too carried away. I hope this is the start of better things to come and 360 actually becomes viable but it's too early to say if that's the case or if this is just a rather big blip in sales soon to be forgotten.

In Others, the 360 holding onto its lead past 2008 is already 50-50.

360 owners should, and deserve to be happy this week, but let's wait for this trend to develop, and hope it's not just a one week thing.
