Forums - Sales - REQ: Sales data of Nintendo first-party titels on Wii and GameCube

CrazyLexx

The last is an inside joke.

Problem is, VGChartz has only tracking out of Japan precisely since mid 2007. Thus, getting 11 months from launch on Super Mario Sunshine and the others, is impossible (out of Japan).

You see, we go by total shipment figures for old titles, and they aren't updated very frequently

I don't know why you need after 11 months sales, as Super Mario Sunshine and Metroid Prime has certainly stopped selling by then. Probably Double Dash too.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

The site does not have weekly data in the US or EU before the start of this generation.

Now that makes sense - that's why I couldn't find any data But I don't really need weekly data anyway... Any idea where I could find international data on those gamecube titles?

I've mentioned the 11 month part just as an example for what I'm looking for. 11 month (I guess), because that's how long Mario Galaxy has been on the market by now and the argument I'm trying to make would be so much stronger, if the data I present for the corresponding gamecube versions is roughly from the same period.

Yeah I understood that, but Gamecube legs had fairly bad legs. After 11 months, Sunshine should be dead (ala, not selling anymore).

And if you go here, you could find data for each area. http://vgchartz.com/worldtotals.php

Write in the name, and the data for each terriotory is there.

The territories are Americas (North and South America), Japan (Japan), and Others (everything else than Americas and Japan).

If you have any questions after this thread is gone, simply send me a message and I'll be happy to answer you.

Hey there folks,

I'm currently working on a small article dealing with the Wii and its supposed success in bringing in new customers to the market.

That's because of the bolded belief that your article is already a failure, before it has even started.

How come? Just because of the word "supposed" in it?
