Im gonna go with Halo 2 on this one... It is arguably the best console FPS game of last gen...but the ending? Its like slamming head first in to a brick wall. Finish the fight...in 3 years when we make halo 3.
Golden Sun.. best RPG franchise ever made... but.. we still have yet to see Golden Sun 3.

Super Mario Galaxy, best game i've played this generation....but..it's over too soon! give me 200 stars damnit!
Golden Sun.
It was set to be the best GBA RPG I had ever played... then I started the game.
Not a classic, but Red Steel could have been an excellent game if not for the clunky controls, dodgy graphics and lack of online multiplayer.
That may seem like a big list, but it's all easily fixable. That's why many people look forward to Red Steel 2, because fixing those 3 things would mean it can be one the best shooters this gen.

Legend of Zelda: Windwaker is a classic but then you hit the "find the triforce shards" part and it completely kills the rhythm of the game.
Signature goes here!
Dont know whats the point in this thread..All Classics?
Well...Megaman x2...NOO GRANDIAAA!!
Take my love, take my land..
Silent Hill 2 is a classic, but hitting enemies with a pole was frustrating!

I could probably list games all day, but (my mind isn't working right now) I will maybe mention Chrono Cross, everything Chrono Trigger was without the story.
