Forums - Gaming - Its an absolute Classic. ....... except for..

There have been many games, brilliant in every other aspect , but falling short on one front(where it shouldnt, probably). So lets discuss these silver clouds with a lining of bird-poo

Ill go first with the very obvious Symphony Of The Night. Its a brilliant game, one of the best for the PS( and thats quite an achievement),one fo the best examples of good level design, we all know that. But given the otherwise high production quality of the game, what happened to the english voice acting? its really hard to believe that it was the work of professional voice actors. The classic "What is a man but a miserable pile of lies?" stays with us for eternity.

Shenmue is an absolute classic........ Except for......... nothing other than the poor install base of the Sega dreamcast which hence meant low sales figures for the game..... ok, and the camera & movement were a bit dodgy during fights with multiple enemies......... other than that its flawless

Chrono Trigger is the best RPG ever... if not for the stupid way the king just lets the (impostor) chancellor turn the legal system into a monkey court.

Then again, it did bite the king on the proverbial ass later on.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Fallout 2 added more freedom of choice than any other RPG that preceded it and increased the difficulty over the original. Sadly it contained an unforgivable number of game crippling bugs.

True Crime: Streets of LA except for the fact it was considered nothing but a GTA clone which of course many of those type games are very similar but it was still different in many ways. I thought the graphics were better along with play control and targeting. I also liked the huge map of Los Angelas.

The only thing I thought was a little silly was how midgame it went into the supernatural for a moment but never went back to it. It was almost as if it was a different game for a few minutes and back into the regular game.

I'll come up with something better eventually...

Planescape Torment, Baldur's Gate...

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

Final Fantasy VII is a classic except that ending.

And please do not try to defend it, like a billion spent on the game and that ending was just... trash!

Resdient Evil 4 is a classic except for its lack of mention of the T-Virus. How is the game really a Resident Evil game without mention of what got us here?

Perfect Dark is a classic except for the lack of a jump button.

Mario Kart DS is a classic except for thee abuse of snaking.

Final Fantay: Crystal Chronicles is a classic except it costing like five bills to play multi-player when the game first released. Although, the way the multi-player worked, it was absolutely awesome, but five bills is just too much.

Ninja Crusaders was a classic except the last stage was either amazingly simple or extremely crushing. This made getting to the boss fight easy, but impossible to win. Or it made getting to the boss fight impossible, but extremely easy to win.

Double Dragon 2 was a classic except you could only kick behind you. WTF is that?

Ocarina of Time was a classic but....it ended....

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

My bad, thanks for the correction.
But its really great, the dialogue between Richter and Dracula. Like a really bad theatrical performance.
