Hopefully the Wii steels some more games from the PS3 this year too with how terribly the PS3 is doing in Japan.

Oh God I hope Factor 5 doesn't develope KI (or any Nintendo IP game) at all.

I'm going to look at the positive....seeing that Nintendo can't do any worse than by just repeating E3 presentation again....and seeing how they apologized for it, I doubt they want to repeat it.....of course I can be mistaken.....

Nintendo will announce a number of new products at a fall 2008 press conference taking place early next month, according to reports.

The news comes from Nihon Securities Journal, translated by Kotaku, and pegs the date for the "Nintendo Conference Autumn 2008" as October 2.

The Nihon Securities Journal also says that Nintendo is planning to announce “new products” at the event.

The reported date of the press conference is one week ahead of the October 9 start of the Tokyo Game Show, an event which Nintendo traditionally sits out.

Nintendo responded to our request for comment, confirming that it will hold a press conference on October 2 in Japan, although the company’s brief statement left much to the imagination.

“In terms of the press conference, its content and announcements are still being finalized so we are not announcing anything at this time,” Nintendo said.

Nintendo announces the disolvement of the Friends Codes with a firmware update that will allow a handle to be used as a representation of your console's friend code (which will still remain for use on previous released games).

Nintendo announces a storage sollution or amendment.

Nintendo confirms upcoming games many had already suspected.

Nintendo delivers the Core and Hardcore announcements they said they were saving for later in the year.

I can't see Nintendo announcing anything ground shattering, though the absense of any Wii support at TGS may have been on Nintendo's request for their own announcement at this conference. Wishful thinking, but possible.

I think we'll see Retro Studios announce a F-Zero Spin-off.

Anyway we knew there'll be a big megaton announcements IF EVER in the fall conference. But its the stuff we dont possibly think about. We will never knew maybe a new Zone of the Enders game, a real Castlevania game or a new Megaman X game we never know. Or a new hard drive or improved on online system.

If there'll be new announcements we could just imagine, but its not something that we knew all along months ago. The surprise wasnt there. If there is it will be big, but lets be logical in here I mean how many Kingdom Hearts thread we've seen already in Nintendo board anyway?

If they are going too talk about the games already announced then why the hell do this conference thing. Just post the info on the web and save money.

Haha, KH3 again? Still, could you imagine the bomb KH3 on Wii would be here? After the FFXIII multiplat, imagine how the PS3 fans would take the announcement... 

I wish I could say I'm not expecting much from this conference, but that's impossible. I want some good news, it sucks bein left in the dark... what are the hell are their dev teams up to?

KH3 and Kid Icarus wasnt even the second coming of Christ either, there are fans of the games but its not even the half of the fans of Final fantasy series so far...

Well it's about time Nintendo announces something, the only thing that has been announced so far and that won't be launched before October 2nd is Wii Sports: Resort.

Not even a single DS game or another Wii game from Nintendo announced. They are going to announce new games, THEY HAVE TO. Else we will know Nintendo has abandoned the industry.
