Forums - Gaming - Activision: CoD6 by Infinity Ward in 2009 confirmed

Glad IW's new CoD game will be coming next year. I wonder how many people are going to skip CoD5 now.

I thought this was already stated a few months ago.

I so want
CoD6: future Warfare
kind of like 2142

So basically you want them to kill the franchise? You do know BF2142 was bloody HORRID right?

You are all biased. Why don't you take a look at the sales and see what is selling more. WaW for every system it has stronger sales than COD5.

Hopefully a Future Call of Duty, or just another Modern Warfare one, which I'm fine with

Everyone it is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Check the news and please lock this thread.

Why again is it not always made by Infinity Ward? Clearly their versions sell best, get the best reviews...are they purposely tainting the COD name with shit titles in between good ones, or are they trying to make the good games look that much better than the last?

Because it takes two years to make the game and Activision is all about the yearly exploitation. ;>

This is getting as bad as Mario Party! >:(

I wish Activision would lay off exploiting its franchises just so they can get yearly releases.

Call of Duty is a good series... Hopefully they will come up with something substantially different this time, or start pricing it to reflect the lack of innovation. World at War is WW II's version of Modern Warefare. It should have been $39.99 not $59.99.

Perhaps this time, the dev's will have done their homework and realized that the war started before the US got involved and that there are tons of settings to use besides D-Day, Pacific conflict and Stalingrad?
One can hope but my hope is dim.

It already has a name. It's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
