A few hours to learn automatic. I have never tried manual (it seems wrong to call it "standard" now in the US), and I never really plan on it. While it would be an interesting to learn just for the fun of it I would never be able to use a manual car as my normal vehicle.

i don't drive i have a personal chauffeur the 67 driver and then i got my blue ligne subway driver sometime i take a nap while being drove to school that's awesome, cars are things of the past

Does anybody feel like the first half is learning how to pass the test and the second half is learning how to eat and drive?

Yes, yes, yes, I remember first gear well, that's what took me the whole, reverse and the other gears were cake. I don't know if it had anything to do with my quick success, but I loved playing those racing arcade machines, loved to shift in racing games.

I also was very interested in the car movies, so like I said, I don't know if it helped or not, but maybe something to consider.

I'm still studying for it, for 5 months reading the rules of the road book.

I have to learn this year so I can finally drive my Porsche It's manual so it's harder.

Never learned, probably never will.

I'm 27 now I had lessons for about About 6 months got to the point when I was (practically) perfect, should of taken my theory test and ended up going on holiday instead...so never actually got around to it.

I passed first time in the UK with 5 minors.....at 17. I had 24 lessons before that, and now own my own car
