Forums - PC Discussion - whats the best graphics card out of these two

out of these two what are the best Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 and the ati mobility radeon hd 2600 and what games do you think they could play like call of duty specs whise

I think that X3100 is integrated graphics... it shares the computer's RAM and is really only designed for 2-D applications. The ATI would perform a WHOLE lot better.

As for what it could play... I am not sure.

About time I remember my password...

from the reviews i have read people were able to play crysis on low mid settings on the hd 2600

When you're dealing with integrated (or notebook) GPUs they were really not designed to play new videogames and are mostly there to handle the user-interface of applications and improve video-playback. In other words, I would doubt that either of those cards would be able to play many new(ish) games. With the exception of Alienware (or similar) notebooks that cost $2000+, there are very few notebooks on the market that can perform as well as a 2 year old PC.

for this the ati is much better but I would get a laptop with a nvidia 8600m gt or higher. The 8600m gt can play call of duty 4 maxed out, with 2x aa.

That just reminds me I need to replace my radeo x1300 with something newer
