Forums - General - Palin Interview - Key Parts Edited Out? (Full transcript)

rocket i actually think you may be on to something there.
@hawkeye the talk radio in this instance is an abc program.

now i can't throw out the validity of what happened, but normally when in comes to politics i use the advice that almost everyone should follow.

"In the end, who does it stand to help the most"

Some of the edits weren't bad. She did repeat herself.

The McCain edit was ridiculous. No excuse for that.

I don't mind watching interviews if they're unedited. Reading them is better though. I noticed while reading that Palin uses "got" a lot. As in "we've got" and that sort of thing.

Ugh. One of my pet peeves. I hate that word.

This is why I hate the Media. Here are some facts about Katrina that most people don't know.

  • More White people died then Black people.
  • More middle class and above died then poor people.
  • When asked to the families of all the victims if the reason there family member didn't leave was due to lack of transportation? The answer across the board, was no.

If you watched Fox, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, you would never know these things. They don't make for near as good of a story.

The media should die.

I have mixed feeling about this.

For the press, this is a gross misuse of editing for the purpose of misleading people. I am disgusted by it when NBC did it for Bush. It wasn't as serious when O'Reilly did it to H.Clinton. I really don't like Bush as a president or Palin as a potential VP, but it's not right for NBC, Fox or ABC's to do this. It is one more reason why traditional news loses ratings... then they try to gain ratings by turning it into even more of a circus.

For politicians, they should know by now to answer with concise statements.

Obama (my guy) really bad at this but a very moving speaker, it cause him a lot of problems. McCain is good at it but boring.

Palin is bad but a very moving speaker, Biden is good at it but boring.

It's going to be an interesting set of debates.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Yeah, the debates are going to be, uh, interesting... Completely different candidates for both parties. I have no idea what to expect.

heh. I don;t think anyone does. Though I think we can reasonably predict that McCain will "win" his debate because of how bad Obama is without a teleprompter. (I'd even go as far as say he's worse than Bush, which is quite an accomplisment)

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

so... why did they only show half of the interview? media bias?

i honestly think biden is going to walk over to palin and swallow her whole, and then grow a tail and charge his lazer before wiping out the entire republican party.
biden, whom i may remind you all is in debt, has so much experience he is going to destroy her.
mccain is right, obama does choose his words very carefully, he will also upend mccain. he seems to be head and shoulders more intelligent than john.
