Google Street View turned into Wii Fit jogging

Remember this clever guy who showed us how he'd used a Wii Balance Board hack to literally take a stroll through Google Street View? He's back again, and this time with something much more impressive - a Wii Fit-esque program that sees you jogging through virtual streets and tracking your progress via Google Maps.

Yeah good idea but needs work. There's definitely potential in this... Imagine say, they release WiiJog or something, where you can jog/hike through some of the most beautiful scenery on the planet or something.

Plus, one of my pet peeves is running on a tread mill and staring at the same thing. So this project definitely strikes a chord with me.

isn't that because street view has only got shots in segments?

in any case, interesting concept.. as chenguo said, it'd be a good idea for a developer to put this idea into action with nice sceneries from around the world (obviously the areas would need to be refilmed themsleves, so that it isn't broken into segments like it is on google street view)
