Forums - Sales - Wii will be hard to find even during the holidays?!?!?

 LOL.

Oh wait, you're serious?

ROFL.

See, you and most care deeply about your favorite company outselling the others. I understand wanting your copany to do well, but when it effecs me and my ability to play the platform that I want good sales just arn't worth it. So, instead of being happy that nintendo sold sold 500k units in November, I will be mad that I didn't get what I wanted. Good sales arn't worth me not being able to play Mario.

This just proves how much Nintendo hates the gamers, Not only are they selling the system for more than its worth but they are limiting the supplies for no one can get the system, They have had about 8months to boost production, and have done nothing. By the time the wii is in stores no one is going to buy it, the PS3 and 360 will be cheaper, Nintendo won't even break 50mil units sold at this rate, Good way to lose fans Nintendo and boost the sales of PS3 and 360 during the holidays :D

You're gonna have to speak a little louder, they can't hear you through the piles of cash they have lying around. If you think Nintendo is disappointed that their console will be selling out for a year straight, you must be crazy. I can assure you, they are doing everything they can to boost production. There are all sorts of bottlenecks.

Just because the PS3 is lying around in stores collecting dust, doesn't mean the Wii should.

So let me follow this logic completely:

Stuffing retail channels = loving the consumer?

Selling a million per month=not in stores?

I wish they would produce more on the order of 2 million a month, but your logic is a tad on the fuzzy side.

But that just means sony loves us. They make a console totally unappealing to the masses to please the hardcore crowd. If that doesn't make sense than put me in a straight jacket and call me Kaz.

Flooding the market with shooters is MS's way of displaying their affection for us. It's sweet.

Current systems owned: Wii, 360. I'll get a PS3 when hell freezes over!... or when the price drops to a reasonable level. Whichever comes first.

@grandmaster: well, it will be up to you man. Wiis reach stores every sunday, you should just wake up a few hours earlier and get yourself in line for a wii ticket in your local best buy, if there is a line already, then find another big retailer like toys are us and get inline, you should ask them some days before if there is gonna be a shipment that week. Otherwise youre setting yourself for a big disappointment come november 12.

You should do it right now while they still last on shelves a few hours or just go at 4am on november 12. either way, good luck.

It's like going to six flags. For the good rides, you gotta wait in line. (This metaphor also works for brothels).

Now I see it! The new PS3-selling holiday strategy that the PS3 fanboys are waiting for is a Wii shortage!

That's genius. Everyone who is looking for the revolutionary and casual-appealing Wii for $250 and can't find it in stores, will for sure buy the $500/$600 media center which can also play games. Count on it!

I don't think sony had a problem keeping the channel full when the PS2 was selling that much.

Or maybe Nintendo is just running out of Duct tape to attach the two gamecubes together :P Get with the program here Nintendo its not that hard to make 7 year old systems :D

I'm just screwing with you Nintendo fans, but with that stuff aside i still don't see how Nintendo cannot boost sales to meet demand. Is it really that hard to boost sales after 8months on the shelf. Is there some sort of special device that they can't keep in supply or what?

Just one more question for you wii owners, i have heard that you guys can download all the old NES and SNES game or atleast some of them anyways, but you guys don't have a hard drive, so where are all the games stored once you download them. Do you buy memory cards/SD cards or whatever they are called. And how much do these games cost, is it $2-$5 or are we talking about more?

Thanks for the help guys.

calm down for a sec and look at the situation.
do you think Nintendo won't produce as many Wii's as possible just to make less money?
