Forums - Sony - Vid of Bioshock PS3 vs 360

http://kotaku.com/5047823/bioshock-ps3-versus-bioshock-360

From the vid both look the same didnt see any diff at all. This is good news for the ps3 as I really would recomend this to anyone who has a ps3. For people who have both systems and have yet to play the game the only diff between the 2 is the ps3 has more content(challange rooms and plasmas) the 360 is less expensive and doesnt need a 5gig install. Great game on both.

I may get blasted by everyone here but I didn't like this game at all. Atmosphere story visuals audio...all great.

Gunplay sucked tho and I play FPS games to get some nice gun dogfights.

People should play it however as I am clearly in the minority here...

How can  a man who is obviously reasonable (I found Bioshock extremely boring) enjoy F.E.A.R? You are an enigma disolitude!

Its cause FEAR gun fights are awesome...not just some crazy old lady running at you with a wrench.

You may have played FEAR on the easy difficulty if you didn't enjoy the fights...but on hard that game is very challenging.

The fights in FEAR usually constitute of you entering a room with bad guys spread out all over...using the slow-mo to see where the bad guys are...turning off the slow mo and firing at them with everything you got, trying to duck as much as possible...and the using slow mo again when your health is low to kill whatever you can. If you do it right you will have just enough slow-mo juice to finish the fight. And with the smart AI in FEAR, this is quite a challenge as enemies will go and flank you as well as throw grenades when you're in corners.

Strategy like that is completely absent from games like doom 3, quake 4, bioshock...

Bioshock tries to mix FPS, RPG and survival horror in one game, the FPS really set my blood racing, it wasn't that scary after the opening sequence and it only really has very light RPG elements.
FEAR got me basically into FPS,

Um..the two versions looked different to me..am I on crack or something? The PS3 version looked slightly better, the tones were a little darker which, to me, helped it look more natural. Whenever they switched to the 360 version, it was too bright and shiny to me. As far as actual textures, I'd have to see them side-by-side in HD, so that video is hard to go by. The lighting definately looked much different, and if you didn't see it, you're insane.

soon they will come out and say..."Its a trick, both are the 360 version with brigtness setting played around with".

And that honestly could be all it is, is different brightness settings. All I really said was that darker looks better...again, I'd have to see it up close in HD to tell you if the textures are actually better or not.

all i can say is that its very good quality for a port. compare the bioshock port to the orange box port.

Good news for PS3 owners that they didn't have to sacrifice anything for the port :D

Bioshock was one of the best games I played in 2007, if not THE best. Art, story, gameplay, audio, all top notch. Well deserved GOTY award.
