it's slowing down global warming, there is billions of particules in higher altitude that reflect the light comming from the sun back to space, as a result we get less light(energy) from the sun,the way they found about it is the evoration (not the right therm) rate of water as slowed down in the past 50 years. well am to lazy to continu or post a link so i'll let you do the rest google or wiki search global dimming and find about it yourself.

interesting really but climate change is happening no matter if we are having a global warming problem or a global dimming problem.
