Your about 15 min. into a 50 hour game and your already complaining? He doesnt stay Emo! He has the biggest charachter change in gamming history! Beat the game and then give your opinion. It starts to get real good by end of disk 1. If your only at the bird, your at most 30 min. into the game.

The bird is 2-3 hours into the game (or at least it was for me because I didn't zip through it as quickly as possible).

Also, and I had the same problem with FFXII, I should have to play the game for 10 or more hours for it to get good.  Why should I suffer through 10 hours of bad game so I can finally beat the first disc and then finally get to the good stuff?  You actually think that sounds like a good idea?

Because you will realize that its one of the greatest games you have ever played. FF VII didnt get goon either until the middle of disk 2.

Their is so much depth to the game and you havnt even scratched the surface of it. Its sad that people complain about game reviewers not reviewing rpgs properly but gamers do it also. 2 hours into one of the most epic games ever made and your already complaining. Remember Final Fantasy VIII? People that actually played through it will tell you it is so much better that Final Fantasy VII but it was much harder to get into. It is such a great game.

I finished FFVIII and right now it's tied with XII for worst FF evar (and don't count bastard games like X-2).  And while I agree that nobody should review a game like this based on 2 hours of play there is absolutely no harm in giving impressions.  I've played more than any demo length for the game would be so I should be able to get some thoughts about the game.

And I still completely stand by a game shouldn't take 10 hours to get good.  While FFVII wasn't my favorite game, it was good and it did a good job of keeping you interested from the very beginning.

What did LO?  It threw me into the middle of an epic battle which was cool until I realized all those enemies couldn't do jack shit to me and I just spammed the action button.  That machine was almost cool because at least I had to alternate so that was a nice little change.  Then what did it do?  It threw text at me for an hour and a half.

And I'm more or less fine with that because it is an RPG.  I expect that.  It just didn't do a lot to keep me interested in the game especially when the main character at that point is a giant ass.  He may get better later on but I'm not there yet, I'm at the point where the game should be trying to grab my attention and he's still an ass.

If you didnt like FF VIII, then you wont like Lost Odyssey. It has the basic same blood lines. Your right about everything

i think ur mad that u could not figure out the "strategy" which is to use your immortal party to win.

I think thats new and refreshing take to a strategy if there ever was one.

I'm pretty they've never taught me it's alright to die.  I had always wondered if it was alright to die since I was in fact immortal but none of the random battles were actually hard enough and boss fights aren't really the places I like to test things.

And actually, when I did beat that bird, none of my people died.  Whenever he did beat me, it was always before any of them got back up.  So if yall hadn't told me or I hadn't seen that in the faq I would still not know about that.  Since I got a game over I would just assume your people don't get up.

The game is best at the start of the third disc....

Oh yeah, and the first boss is basically the only hard one in the game

haha have you fought the optional bosses?? >.>

Yep, I have done all but half the backyard battles and the DLC. The guy in the place in the east was really easy, he could barely damage my party, and with all generatus, healing like half their health, and the right rings equipped it was certainly quite easy

This is how stealth trolling works ...

The optional bosses aren't hard if you grind in the temple long enough..

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

So people aren't allowed to not like games? Right.
