Forums - Sales - Battle of the Bombs - Haze Vs Too Human

Haze was not hyped that much at all, it stopped getting hype back in January

Too Human also stopped getting hype after the big delay back when the release was supposed to be Fall 2007

which delay the one back in 1998 ????

Too Human will get the most sales. 360 owners will buy anything.

I'm starting to notice that as a trend, there's usually huge sell through in the first week or 2 regardless of how crappy or great it is then it drops off immediately. 360 is a really weird console in that respect.

Wow, what a surprise, the 360 fans say Too Human wasn't hyped, and the PS3 fans say Haze wasn't hyped.

When in reality, they both were! (although not "to the max")

Too Human almost certainly lost more money though.

They're both crappy, we should all forget they exist, the end.

As in go buy us some coffee.

Too Human wasn't hyped anywhere near as much as Haze was. Haze was supposed to be a system seller (It did have massive sales considering how crap it was).

Too Human scored better in most reviews and is considered a better, although still very flawed game.

Too Human will sell less than Haze overall because of blind fanboys on the PS3 buying it (the sales so far HAVE PROVED this theory), along with the GENERAL SHORTAGE OF QUALITY TITLES ON THE PS3 AS A WHOLE

The opposite of all this is true, if that's possible.

Too Human's hype, though far bigger at its height, just died earlier and in small bursts.

Too Human will probably sell better overall in the end.

You are an idiot if you think your "theory" has been proved.

This thread is kinda hilarious, from the concept (who wins at sucking?) to all the arguments.

My take on the hype issue: we really can't measure that accurately, it's all gonna be anecdotal evidence, so let's just not bother.

As far as I know (from what ppl've said), Haze sucks, Too Human is kinda enjoyable, but it still sucks. If we're gonna be looking at which flopped more, we gotta somehow correlate development costs to expected performance. Not worth the trouble, esp for these two games.

All I know is this:

From the second I've started Too Human, I didn't encounter A SINGLE bug/glitch, unlike some other 60-worthy games I've played years before. I think people were expecting Too Human to be something else, but why not just enjoy it for what it is? It's finally here, and you can clearly see the little touches of detail everywhere in the game (notice the walking animation when you push the stick a little, then stop, then repush... That's the first thing I notice in a game most of the time).

I can't speak for Haze, but even the demo was pretty good in my opinion. If you know what you're getting into (for a generic shooter), I have to say it's a good one for what it can offer. Let's stop pretending it could have been a Halo-killer or something, it's just never going to happen.

For the current demographic (number of 360 owners > number of PS3 owners), I have to give it to Too Human. Also, the game got advertised by Microsoft, Gamersyde, Gamespot and IGN a bit more than Haze if I recall correctly.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

You need to slow your roll with this kind of talk. Consider this your only warning.

It's week 2 for too human. I wouldn't say it has bombed just yet. Sure it didn't sell as much as people here thought it would, but still. Also the reviews I don't think were hostile to Too Human. THey were Above 70 mostly.

Too Human was pretty hyped after the demo was released. Too Human also had a million pre orderm but after the reviews started flowing people began to cancel their pre orders.
