Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo : We never said Wii was getting a Hard Drive.

The latest issue of Spanish magazine, Club Nintendo, has an interesting interview with Reggie Fils-Aime and Shigeru Miyamoto. According to a rough translation Reggie says "We are working on a storage solution and it is especially important in America because our consumers are using Wii Points for the Virtual Console and WiiWare. I want the people to have the right expectations; We have never said that it will be a hard drive nor have we mentioned how we will fix this issue, but we are going to deliver a better way to store the games." Miyamoto also added said that we can expect an announcement in the future.

I'm glad of this... I don't want to have to buy a Hard Drive... I want to be able to use my SD card.

2GB extra is plenty for anyone... 1GB extra is enough for me.
