Forums - Microsoft - Xbox 360 game direct-to-console downloads: Yes or no?

no. too many ifs. the biggest if for me is "if my hdd breaks". it would be a pain to dl all your games again. plus, if your sick of your games, you cant sell dl games.

Around the Network

-Digital distribution tougher to regulate
-Hardware faliure = bye bye to games unless Microsoft has away around it.
-Microsoft probably won't pass the discount onto the consumer (packaging ,manual etc)
-average broadband speeds aren't fast enough to download games with speed.
-Digital distrbution could benefit piracy.
-I actualy like going outside to do shopping.
- HD's are relativley cheap but still add to the cost of DD , my PC HD is only 80GB and I can't fit alot on it.
-Digitaly bought items can't be re-sold as pre-owned
-Digitaly bought items can't be lent to friends
-Digitaly bought items can't be used on other devices (in many cases)
-Backs ups of digitaly bought items cannot be made (in many cases)

I think the drawbacks of Digital Distri makes physical media worthwhile.

Yep....Discs are very smelly, from DVD-Video to Bluray....who needs them in this day and age where 1.5TB HDs are available I wish we could just say goodbye to them all and have all our media at our fingertips...

I do have a NAS with a good 3TB of stuff on but its still not as streamlined as it could be :(

I would like more downloads.
Only problem would be hdd memory.
