Thank you. Im on Prozac atm, It helps, but I still get those panicky feelings

I'm was always skeptical of using anti-depressants and anti-anxiety drugs.  The anti-anxiety drugs, like lorazepam (which is what they gave me), work so well to kill a panic attack that I could see how someone could get addicted to them easily.  I used one bottle of it and never got it refilled.  I am personally very affraid of becoming addicted to a medication, especially something that works on chemicals in my brain.  They gave me an anti-depressant also but I never took it.

Use the drugs for when you can't function because of the anxiety, but see a psychologist to find a more permanent solution to the problem.

I give that post a 9.5.

I get really panicked about stupid things (like if my uni loan will go in on time, or if i find even the slightest bump on my body which i automatically think is a tumour) but ive never actually had an attack.

My blood pressure is probably off the chart tho

One of my really good friends does. They can be quite a bitch. My dad has some level of anxiety too. I am pretty anxiety free, luckily.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I get them, had them most of my life.

I've always said games help. because I focus my mind on the game instead of what i'm thinking.

Same with going for a drive, as long as i'm driving I can stay focused on the road, except when i'm in bumper to bumper traffic... lol

I used to get anxiety attacks in cars after a head on collision. Weed cured it. :P

Weed cause attacks in my case, I think because of the strange sensations.

Im like that too. I have Obssesive Compulsive Disorder,

I used to have it a few years ago, it mostly affected my breathing and many times I was sure that I'd suffocate to death. I've been to the emergency ward a few times when it happened when I was alone and far away from home. I still get it sometimes, mostly when I've been drinking alcohol, a lot of coffe or used massive ammounts of tobaco, but I think that I'm better at controlling it these days than I was before.

Edit: I can still get a massive stage fever when I'm about to talk to a group of people but that is nothing compared to the "real" attacks I could get a few years ago.
