Forums - Gaming Discussion - HOLY MOTHER OF CRAP! Steam ...

This weekend Steam is having a weekend deal, id super pack for $35. If you have any love for PC gaming and FPS history you owe it to yourself to pick this up. It's something like $215 of games going dirt cheap.

22 games at $35 for $1.59 per game

I love you Valve, id, and Steam. The last bastion of great PC gaming (along with Stardock).

F that, They released every X-Com game on Steam last week for like under 20 bucks.

Now thats a good thing, id games dont really age well. Sadly.

edit, also they sell that pack for 75 dollars usually, so your getting a little better than half off. :)

I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

This space Reserved for the Nuggets of Wisdom dropped by Bladeforce:

"Why post something like this when all it will get is PS3 owners blinded to reality replying? BOTH THE PS3 AND BLUE-RAY WILL NOT LAST 3 YEARS! TECHNOLOGY CHANGED TOO FAST!"

"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"

"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"

I have a Win98 box for X-Com and all goodies, I'm still very tempted, though. The nice thing about Steam is once you buy it, you have it.  Some id games have aged well, others are still good trips down memory lane occasionally. At $1.60 each even an old trip down nostalgia lane is worth it.

cool

Yeah, I saw the other topic earlier. I just got Final Doom though, since I have no money in my PayPal account.
