Forums - Nintendo - How many of you are dissapointed by Nintendo?

To those who complain about the Wii's third-party support: Are you aware that the Wii has, by far, more third-party exclusives announced for it than both of the HD consoles combined? Or that, even counting non-exclusive third-party titles, the Wii probably has at least as many as either of the HD consoles? And I likely don't even need to count shovelware in those totals. Just look at Onimusha12's extensive and incomplete(!!) list for proof.

To those who complain about there being no "core"/"hardcore" games: You're missing the point, and the Wii isn't for you. I mean, seriously: Nintendo develops a revolutionary new method of human-computer interaction, and you want to use it for... more of the same games we've been seeing for the past twenty years? Meh.

@ MeowTheMouse: The VC offers all of the benefits of PC emulation, with almost none of the drawbacks, and with the additional benefit that it's legal, at a reasonable price. It seems like you just like illegal freeloading.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

VC is one of the reasons i love Wii so much, all those classic games that will never be old for good price, since it is impossible to buy them now, or they are really expensive on ebay. VC + Wiiware >XBLA+PSN all the way.

Before anyone judges whether or not the Wii has lived up to full potential or whether or not there has been enough high quality third paties and "hard core" games would be well advised to wait until Motion Plus is released. A lot of the best games are being designed to use it. I hope as many games as possible are held for Motion Plus

Don't underestimate the importance and impact of M+. One good light saber fight in real time 1:1 and gaming will never be the same again.

Im not disappointed in the Wii, Nintendo, or their future. The Wii is a HUGE step forward for Nintendo (how many other Nin consoles had an OS, downloadable games, online play [dont say DS], bluetooth controllers, etc), so quit complaining.

I dont see the point to seeing people bitch, 'Oh, Nintendo has abandoned us, the hardcore!', or 'im thinking of selling my wii becasue...'

If you think that , just drop the Wii completly. Chanses are you already have another console, so youll be fine. If you consider yourself a Nintendo fan, then you shouldnt be so stupid as to think theres nothing in the horizon. From my point of view, the Wiis future is brighter than ever, even without 1st party games.

I love my Wii

@Jo21: What will be your next excuse next year? Cause you will have a lot of games to play on your Wii.

I wonder what the haters excuse will be next year, I think it's time to start thinking about one.

I assure you that a 1:1 sword fighting game would only add to the list of titles that I am disapointed in. Unless the game comes with free sword fighting lessons, and some free time to actually attend them then I don't think it would be even 1 second of fun for me. I only want it to come out so people will shut up about how "awesome" it will be to play a new ultra realistic game on the one system not pushing ultra realistic experiences.

Don't really like the Wii too much. And I'm too stubborn to admit how much I love the DS.

Currently playing: Marvel vs. Capcom 3, League of Legends

It would be really interesting to see if Treasure would try to make such a game. Hm...

 They only make fun games.
