To those who complain about the Wii's third-party support: Are you aware that the Wii has, by far, more third-party exclusives announced for it than both of the HD consoles combined? Or that, even counting non-exclusive third-party titles, the Wii probably has at least as many as either of the HD consoles? And I likely don't even need to count shovelware in those totals. Just look at Onimusha12's extensive and incomplete(!!) list for proof.
To those who complain about there being no "core"/"hardcore" games: You're missing the point, and the Wii isn't for you. I mean, seriously: Nintendo develops a revolutionary new method of human-computer interaction, and you want to use it for... more of the same games we've been seeing for the past twenty years? Meh.
@ MeowTheMouse: The VC offers all of the benefits of PC emulation, with almost none of the drawbacks, and with the additional benefit that it's legal, at a reasonable price. It seems like you just like illegal freeloading.
"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
