However i am not smarter than the wall of microsofts accountants and decision making CEOs...im sure they have a reason that the hard driveless arcade exists. |
Are you kidding me? I get 30-50 ping when I play CS:S online using an 802.11B card. No true gamer should use wifi, my ass. I'm sure that for 90% of people playing games online, the latency of their wifi network is not the major factor for their lag.
Out of all my friends who own 360 (12) and have live, I am the only one who bought the Wi-Fi adapter. They all use ether-net cord. You can buy it in hose length super cheap now so they just stung it from their PC's to the 360. Some of my buddies refuse to use Wi-Fi because they consider ether-net to be more reliable (I can see their point, sometimes).
Now I am not trying to fuel a ether-net cord is better than Wi-Fi. I didnt like having to buy a Wi-Fi adapter anymore than the next person. But it is not the only way to have Live, and my friends have proven this. My PC is upstairs and I have a wireless lap-top so Wi-Fi was a must for me....due to my housing layout, just not them.
The average gamer will do fine either without Live, or with a standard ether-net cable for connectivity.

i disagree. MSFT is selling consoles because they have a VASTLY greater library of games....whats holding them back is holding back wi fi and charging $50 for live when the PS3 offers Live for free, essentially at this point. Once Sony can rival MSFT in the games department, and thats soon, imo, the 360 sales will not go through the ceiling, imo.
MSFT has made their sales of the console on games.....period. they will NEVER maximize their sales by charging out the ass for the wi fi and still charging $50 for live when the PS3 offers online play for free. This is from the aspect of the demographic the PS3 and 360 are geared for, imo. |
But exactly how soon will the ps3 have a games library that rivals the 360?........ I think everyone on these forums knows somthing about literally every game thats due to come out for the ps3 over the next 2 years......... (suprise suprise)
These games are coming out for the 360 and closer to their release date thay will start making an impact
Alan wake
Halo wars (its a halo game, gauranteed seller)
Huxley (Massive MMO)
Dead island (very promising FPS zombie fest)
The protector (FPS game with puzzle and strealth elements)
White gold: war in paradise (FPS/RPG)
RACE pro
Forza motorsport 3
Splinter cell: conviction
The precursors
APB (A massive MMO from the creators of crackdown)
so in my eyes the ps3 line up is in no way more impressive or better than the 360's is
Most people aint heard of these games yet........ But they will........
hmm you can get a 320gb one for the ps3 for that price.
check newegg.

i dont want to get into a list battle with games....but i just simply disagree and your list is full of FPS games...the 360 HAS the FPS market already....the PS3 will offer another Ratchet, another Uncharted, MS: PR, throw in Resistance, Killzone, LBP, Bioshock, Killzone, God of War3 3, Tekken, Gran Turismo, FFV13, WKC, soon Eternal Sonata....i just think the PS3 is still sort of lacking games and people will still have a reason to pick up a PS3.....but the people interested in the games you mentioned proably already can justify buying a 360 and own one....again, just imo, but i think the fact the PS3 is able to outsell the 360 on Others and is holding its own all year in America despite price point and lack of game back up my point that the future games will clearly help the PS3.

I usually Wi-fi to play Crysis. It works all right for a while but it often disconnects repeatedly leaving me just standing still for others to freely take me out but it doesn't happen too often so I can't complain.

I work for Amazon at one of their distribution centers, and I just wanted to say that I handle 360s fairly frequently and know how I could get away with stealing one if I wanted to. Thereby owning it for free.
Just... wanted to throw that out there.

Im not saying that it can't be done. if one has a little patience, it works fine. I had my 360 set up to get internet from my pc...which was getting internet from a 802.11G usb dongle. It worked...but would disconnect me every hour from xbox live. Eventually i got fed up and said screw it...and ran the wires through the middle of my room...

They both have strong line ups, only microsofts line up is not been as touted much as the ps3's, thats all
