Forums - General - nothing about McCains speech?

OMG I cannot find a link for the speech anywhere. Anyone seen one?

This was a funny cartoon off CNN by the by:

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. It's funny that no one raises an eyebrow when a thread creator insults two members in his original post, called for or not. Political threads truly are lowering the bar for Off Topic.

Its cool, I know that personal attacks are for those who don't actually have anything relevant to say, so I don't take them personally.

Bubbles was really worried about you guys. I think it was kind of sweet...

I added some videos to prove my point. :)

Seriously, watch them, you'll see U.S. politics ain't so political after all.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Last week she was going to ruin him, now she's holding him up. Make up your mind, 'journalists'.

Alright, I found one.  And the democrats media player was hella better on their convention site.  It sounds like I am listening to McCain through a busted out Chevy speaker:

My favorite part is when he scolds his own party towards the end. Somebody's been needing to do that for a long time.

I wish McCain would stop his incessant use of "my friends," but it appears as if it is so deeply ingrained into his public speaking habits that he will never rid of it.

erm...have you ever read any of MrBubbles' other threads?  This is pretty tame and is actually a positive step.  At least he didn't call anyone the antichrist.

I think McCain took a bunch of Valiums or morphine before his speech.

It gets better towards the end. Nobody ever said he's a phenomenal public speaker, but I think he did a great job overall.
