Screenshots or gameplay video would be nice for this thread....for those of us who don't follow PC too closely.

The VGChartz game database has screenshots of this game that I added:
http://vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=26398®ion=All
And here is a trailer of the game:
And here is a gameplay video I found from someone playing the beta:
Beaten the game with all 3 available demigods now. Pretty confident in how well I know the mechanics (at least of the Beta 1). Some small bugs but overall it plays great.
$45 for access to 3 betas starting 5 months before the game releases and then getting the game when it releases is a pretty damn good deal. You only have till the 10th to preorder if you want in on the betas.

Don't have a PC to play it right now but I love the images. I had to grab one of their wallpapers as it was so nice. What kind of systems are you guys playing it on?

Nothing spectacular at all. I play with every setting maxed except Anti-aliasing, which I set at 8X.

The only 3 demigods available in the beta are assassin class demigods. In the final game there will be a total of 8 demigods. Four assassins and four generals. The assassins have no control over their allied troops, but conquer by brute force and support. The generals control the troops like an RTS. I hope the beta 2 adds some generals.

To all those that are interested in pre ordering demigod, there is a deal going on right now.
Use coupon SURVEY-2008 to receive 20% off on all Stardock's PC titles, so it works on Demigod and Sins of a Solar Empire.
With this coupon the digital version of demigod will cost only 33$.

(what is the DotA??)
Defense of the Ancients.
A Warcraft III, AoS-style, custom map that became so popular there are even tournaments on it; Demigod was inspired by it. Just google Demigod and DotA and you'll find out all you need/a shit ton of arguing about comparisons and how they should differ.
If you have Warcraft III/TFT you should definitely look into playing DotA.

If by SC you mean Supreme Commander, then I think you are fine. Supreme Commander was quite a resource hog. The scale of Demigod is smaller than that of Supreme Commander but that allowed for extra detail.
According to the interviews the developers claimed that system requirements will include low-end machines. In the end, if you preorder you get access to the beta, so you should know whether the game will run or not. And in case it doesnt run i am pretty sure it is possible to cancel the preorder.
