Forums - PC - Google Chrome already has a 3% market share

Not everything that Google does is a runaway success (see: GTalk). Firefox already has the "indie darling"/"David v. Goliath" thing going for it, so really, Chrome is just redundant.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

  1. no reliable data
  2. a lot of testers using it and may switch back to the other browser they used before
  3. I read on several serious German websites that there is a huge privacy problem with this browser. Every page you visited will be sent to google. You have to accept that in the general terms and conditions. Is this true?

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

So its now IE 7+ vs FF2 vs FF3(.1) vs Safari vs Opera vs Chrome.

Now things will get interesting. All I care about is that w3schools tracker shows that IE is in a decline and the others are slowly eating away it's marketshare.

w3 is the real source for the truest browser data.

Been using Chrome since day 1.

Can't say I believe those stats having FF at 31% though. ( even less the above post having FF at 43%..)
It seem way overestimated...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Already,

Good for Chrome. I'vesaid it before, I'm keeping it to use as my second browser, whenever FF has any problems with some page. At least now I can keep IE7 really as a last resort, the less times I have to open it, the better

W3Schools is a website for people with an interest for web technologies. These people are more interested in using alternative browsers than the average user. The average user tends to use Internet Explorer, since it comes preinstalled with Windows. Most do not seek out other browsers.

These facts indicate that the browser figures above are not 100% realistic. Other web sites have statistics showing that Internet Explorer is used by at least 80% of the users.

Anyway, our data, collected from W3Schools' log-files, over a five year period, clearly shows the long and medium-term trends.

Google should cut a deal with Dell, HP, Compaq, Sony or Toshiba and have Chrome pre installed on their new computers, better yet have it pre installed with Ubuntu OS and Chrome, it would be cheaper for the consumer since those companies wouldn't have to pay MS licensing fees for Windows and would give us an option, I love having options as a consumer.

Too bad it crashed my computer when i downloaded it lol.

Just kiss the tip.

As an Opera user, I am sad.
