Forums - PC - Paritioning with Vista

So I'll be reformatting the laptop I use for working and school I'll be putting Vista on it, just want to have it look fancy. I also wanna put a Linux parition on there, but I hear Vista doesn't like sharing and can cause major problems when you try to put in a different OS. I know XP doesn't have this problems since that's on my desktop but I was just wondering if I should be careful.

Man I completely messed up spelling parition in the title, sorry.

Around the Network

I run a dual boot Vista and XP. No problems here. I would install Linux First and only use half the drive. Save the other half for Vista.

That's my idea, and Vista seems to dislike Linux a lot more than XP, at least from everyone that tried this, so I don't want to start something without nowing what to expect. Saves a lot of time.

Actually I've read that it's best to install Vista first because Vista tends to make itself the only OS usable on boot. Of course there's a quick trick to get Linux working again if Vista does that.
