Fair enough, but I'm pretty sure you said something incredibly similar regarding Japan (the economy) last year, and then the country presented an amazing holiday season. In fact, I believe that there was a week in Japan last year during the slow period where not a single game cracked the 30k mark (or somewhere around that). I'm sure the economy is part of it, but it's mostly because Japan is in the yearly slow period.

That's pretty unimpressive for the Wii, to be honest. And besides, there have been several weeks where the PS2 has beaten the PS3, one of them being in the last month. And you're going to boast that the Wii has lowered marketshare and that the PS3 has steady sales above the PS2?

Maybe not impressive for the wii, but... reality check... the wii is still beating the PS3 and 360 combined, and so it doesn't matter until ps3 + 360 > wii by a significant amount.

Wii dipped last year too, at this same time. Went as low as 20k I think. Though this September Wii is getting Disaster:DoC, that may boost sales until Wii Music arrives, then it's chaos.

 The Wii has started to see 56-60% market share in Others lately - it's weakest market. If it falls down to 60% in Japan, its strongest, that's not so impressive.

Last year at the same time Wii was selling twice as many units as now (43,723 units in week ending on Sep. 2nd). The slowest period last year came in September and October while August were quite decent.

If this year is to be similar than really slow weeks are yet to come.
