As the first console I ever played, the Atari 2600 holds a dear spot in my heart. Pac-Man, Berzerk, Combat, Kaboom, and many more... such fun games. Yeah, they're ancient. But that just proves how timeless they are!

So, let's hear it for the 2600!

Me, I've got five consoles (two Sears TeleGames), fifty-two individual titles (61 total carts), and I don't know how many various controllers. Still need a few games to complete the collection (such as Galaga, Pitfall, Mario Bros, DK Junior, Centipede, and a few others), but it's still something worth mentioning!

Screw the 2600... 7800 is where it's at baby... full B/C support and almost perfect arcade translations of all the major classics like Galaga, Ms. Pac-Man, Asteroids, Joust, Xevious, Mario Brothers (MARIO BROTHERS!) etc.

7800 may have been technically superior, but it wasn't as magical, man.

obieslut: An Atari is an Atari, but fine. I guess if you're interested in if they're 4-switch or 6-switch, haha.

I'd love to see Atari 2600 games on Wii Virtual Console for $1 or $2 per game.

awesome collection, awesome console. Yep and few of those titles on the VC would be great, they do have C64 titles (which is my first gaming system) so who knows.
