The Game Informer list of E3 games includes Silent Hill 5 which has before now been completely unknown.

Also it's coming to PS3/360.

Yay, PC!

I love Silent Hill... love love love.

Hope the PC version uses the X360/Ps3 engine, unlike Pro Evo Soccer... =/

I love this series so much. No beef to Konami about making it multi-platform because that is probably what they had to do. It should be phenomenal in any case.

If that's true, Playstation would lose another hitherto-exclusive franchise. Good news for 360 fans!

 Only the very first Silent Hill was exclusive, after that one, they were all released for PC and XB :P

Were they really? Huh, I never knew that! I read an article recently about Silent Hill 5, were the producer said they'd like to "continue their relationship with Sony," which I sort of assumed meant an exclusive one. But apparently not!

I can't really get into the Silent Hill games anymore because I kind of hate Japanese horror (movies like The Ring, etc). They don't seem to make a lot of sense especially when compared to other supernatural horror movies like The Sixth Sense.

I think that following the first, Silent hill games were timed exclusives. I have Silent Hill 2 for Xbox, and I know it came out some time after the PS2 version. As for the game, I was absolutely loving it until I hit a very long stretch without save points, only to have my friend get killed because she just stood there while getting attacked a crazy nurse that I couldn't see because of the bad camera angle. ARGH, it makes me so angry!


Of course, once I get over that anger, I'll pick it back up agian, because it really was an awesome game.

A little quick to celebrate the demise of Sony huh?

Also why are they announcing all these big games for PS3 and 360 and not the Wii? Oh man they will all be little red drops in the worldwide blue ocean...

Yes the others silent hill (2/3/4) were not exclusive to the PS2.

Recently, the SHteam saied that the game may be exclusive to the PS3 (+PC ofc) since the PS3 was the only console that allow them to make the game they really want to make. But, they also stated that the since the PS3 sales were not sufficient, they may have to release the game on Xbox360 too.
(who saied MGS4 made by Konami too ?)
This suggest, if I follow them, that they will have to adapt the game to the Xbox360, releasing a final product different from the original.

I just hope that will not be the case ...

As for MGS4, I would prefer this game came out on PS3 only,
