Holy Ark isn't a true Shining Force game. It's a Shining game in the Shining Universe, but not a true Shining Force game. A true Shining Force game is an SRPG. They broke the mold after making their first PS2 Shining game and started calling non-SRPG games Shining Force. I guess to try to get the old fan base to recognize the series again, but how can you when it's not a true Shining Force game? Your actually selling lies.

Now from looking at the titles of future Shining games, you really can't tell if its going to be a true Shining Force game or not. From reading the description of this game, and it states SRPG, this is going to be the first true Shining Force game since Shining Force 3 came out.
If you like SRPGs, this one might be for you. I am not a fan of First Person Dungeon Crawlers either. When I first played Shining in the Darkness, I thought that I wouldn't like Shining games after that. Then I played Shining Force. I loved the Shining series after that. Even enough to give Shining in the Darkness a second shot and also play Shining the Holy Ark.
