| gimmebanana said: unless restricted by the publisher ,games like these had/have a better chance going multiplat these r just a very few i picked (lost odyssey) been out for 9 months ,sold 0.8 million Name a turn based RPG thats sold better this gen?
(ninja gaiden 2) been out 3 months, sold 0.69 million 800k/1mil is closer and its outsold the previous version
(blue dragon) been out 10 months, sold 0.5 million Isn't too bad considering the game engine looks last gen
(eternal sonata) been out 15 months , sold 0.27 million Niche, what can I say?
(tales of vespira), 1 month , sold 0.13 million Hasn't even got U.S/EU numbers yet. Nice way to jump the gun
(too human) , 2 weeks , sold 0.14 million Haze sold like crap/Lair sold like crap - your point?
(naruto : rise of a ninja) 11 months, sold 0.39 Naruto... LOL
im sure this same mistake wont be made again , and we will see ok games like these go multi , but dont hold ur breath on the juggernaut exclusives like
Halo
Bioshock ...wait ps3 got that Yeah PS3 is getting that, but when you can pick up the PC/Xbox 360 version for less than $20 it kinda kills the excitement.
Gears ....oh Gears 3 is going multi You're talking a 2010 release at the earliest here....
ok how about that rpg adventure oblivion? 1 year difference, multimillion seller on the Xbox 360, didn't crack a mil on the PS3 - so I think they got a good deal.
maybe its already happening ?!

Xbox 360
Halo 3- 8.17 million Gears of War- 5.22 million Forza Motorsport- 3.99 million
PS3
Motorstorm- 3.44 million Metal Gear Solid 4- 3.12 Resistance Fall of Man- 3.06 million
And yes, i only picked 3 because i sense the comparison speaks for itself

The fail in this thread makes this guy look on top of things by comparison.
Its easy to spot the fanboys in these types of theads...
all i stated is that 360 games are going multiplat
and in conclusion i'll say maybe this Gen is all about the multiplatform-ing
360 has gotten alot of ps3 exclusives!! except for the ones that are incapable of running on the 360
so y r the fanboys boiling up?

you really cant compare Gears to Metal Gear in terms of sales, give Metal Gear Solid 4 a holiday season and then compare the two in sales
You do realize some of those games sold poorly because they just weren't that good and others don't have bad sales at all.
To be completely fair, most of those are Japanese-themed games, which are usually hit or miss outside of Japan.
I think we're afraid we'll see a tentacle coming out of a woman's hoohoo or something.
Obi-Wan: I felt a great disturbance in the Industry, as if millions of fanboys suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
