. All this article states is that ps3 is profitable to develop for.

I thought capcom would have figured that out when they released DMC4 on the PS3, i guess the lostplanet port gave them cold feet.

Capcom has released a transcript of a conference call it held for the firm's Q1 results. The first question asks whether PS3's install base is yet big enough for the release of a whopper like Resident Evil 5.

"We believe that PS3 has finally reached full swing after looking at the success of Metal Gear Solid 4, as well as future large-scale title line-ups," reads the response.

Why is this even a question?  The PS3 will have sold more than the GC (when RE4 came out) by the time RE5 rolls around, and it is going to be multi-platform from day one.

And you think that Resi Evil 4 and 5 had similar sized budgets?

You might actually have a point if it was a PS3 exclusive.  As it stands, RE5 (PS3) should easily make more than the additional cost of making it on both PS3 and 360 versus just 360.

Yep, the shift is changing PS3 on a rise thanks to Europe/Others
