Obviously I don't know for sure but i'd imagine that they would put trophies on Fallout. At least I hope they do :) The L4D port for PS3 is a shaky possibility at best and a lot of it depends on what the 360 version does in terms of sales. No offense to Parrot but I would probably wait until Gears 2 comes out to make your decision. Gears 2 has a lot of new features like Horde mode (survival) as well as other new modes such as the unique CTF (a moving and lethal NPC is the flag). Parrot said he didnt play much of Gears 1 multiplayer so it would be difficult to discern whats new etc etc. This isnt a knock against him in any way.

@Parrot I know you said the controls were fluid on both the PC and 360 versions of L4D. How was the sensitivity in terms of moving each axis and camera. I haven't played a shooter on a console that has a high enough sensitivity for me :) Great work btw and thanx for the impressions!

The controlls on the 360 were fairly mainstream.  You know the type, not overly sensitive, but enough to where most people can get the best response.  I didn't fiddle around with it very much, however, I'm sure its customizable.  I will assure you though, the PC experience will be not one to hoff over.  If you have a video card that was made in the last 3 years, its definetely a title worth investing your mouse / keyboard's time.

How does one prove they are not being biased if the facts actually lean in favor of the reviewer?

Most reviewers have a bias, its human nature. What makes the difference in a "good reviewer" is they SHOULD have knowledge of the products they are reviewing. i.e: actually USING the product, and knowing the history of the product being reviewed. Based on the post in this thread, and the information provided it is pure conjecture, doesn’t make it a bad thread at all, just have to know where the OP is coming from.

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

The problem is that you lost a bit of credibility here. If you haven't played Gears 1 in its entirety, it's a bit hard to acknowledge your impressions on the game, since you didn't even take account of the other details. Don't forget the destructable environments, new story, new character development, new weapons, etc.

Gears 2 is built on the same Unreal engine as Gears 1, so it's a bit normal that it is highly based on its predecessor. Don't judge a book by its cover I say, but impressions are impressions I guess...! =P

I apologize.  I don't want to spread disinformation.  I loved the Gears 1 single player / co op when it first launched.  However, I was expecting far more from the sequel. If your expectations are Gears 1 with slightly better graphics, than you will be extremely pleased.  Remember, I only played multiplayer, which is an experience I don't enjoy in the first place.  So YMMV.

@ bolded: LOL! yeah guess not that many people saw e3.

Umm question...you said that the Wii Speak was a borefest, but if it was there and not being used how do you know? I assumed that you had an opportunity to review it based on your original post. >_>

I should have chosen my words more carefully.  However, the product isn't a must have like the Wii Motion Control plus.  Its a microphone without video.

Oh btw, I tried to get info on when the new Wii Motion Plus attatchment would be available and for how much, but no dice.

Ah, it's cool. I'll just think about you when I'll be playing both Resistance 2 and Gears 2 this Christmas! ^^

What is YMMV by the way?

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

YMMV - Your Mileage May Vary.

Thanks for answering my question about Motorstorm 2, im playing the first one now and I enjoy it (but i know what you mean about the paper thin vehicles and the brown!) Great Thread!

How were the controls for Mirror's Edge? How long did you play it and did you get a good grip on the game?
I hear it will be hard to master ;)

Mirror's Edge was very loose.  Thats the best way to describe it.  There is a floatiness and a feeling of being "free".  Its a good sensation.  Also, it worked EXTREMELY well on the PS3 controller.
