Forums - Sales - European Sales Discussion

I've just checked through the Euro numbers, but it seems to be that the PS3 has outsold the 360 every week since launch - according to those numbers.

Has ioi changed all of the numbers, or something?

Thats what I thought ,for me the UK numbers especially on the 360 were simply too big .WIthout the Uk difference favoring the 360 so much we see that in the global PAL picture the PS3 is outselling the 360 .

On the other hand, PS3 was able to outsell Wii in the Other Regions.

IIRC the Other and Other Europe are calculated by taking known global totals, and then subtracting every region specific information that exists from it.

Wouldn't be surprised if the PS3's dominance in those categories is therefore just because it's been underestimated in others, so the unaccounted consoles stack up somewhere. That's the only reason I can think of for the PS3 being in the lead anywhere.

Quarterly reports are coming in for a lot of places so the numbers are being adjusted where necessary.

GOOD "news" for PS3,
At least, she is able to survive somewhere ...

To HappySqurriel,

In Europe, People are waiting for price drop,
I aggry
After price drop, PS3 sales and Xbox360 shoud improve,
I aggry too
But, after price cut, PS3 will still sell better, and even a LOT better, than Xbox360.
The playstation brandname is still strong in Europe and the opposite of the Xbox that is still unknow.
How can you explain PS3 sales doing better than Xbox360 sales hat is cheapier and possess more games ?
For me, it is all about the "hype" that sony possess and Microsoft don't have ...

I aggry this is just speculation but in some month we will see if I'm right or not.

Time to Work !

I think people will have to accept that the PS3 might be winning in Europe over the 360. Maybe even the Wii in a couple of years.

But yeah, this price drop will have quite an affect.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
